    Never heard one of these but wondering what they are like in stereo. Anyone heard one?

    The analogue bypass is rather unimpressive, but the processor's DACs are lovely in stereo.

    That said, an MC12 isn't cheap. You'd want to listen to a Meridian 861 and Theta Casa Blanca II before you make up your mind to buy one.

    Oh, and definitely consider the balanced version of the MC12 if your amp supports it.
