Testing the water here. I have a DC1 with all the bells and whistles (DD,DTS, THX Logic 7 etc etc) which I've owned from new. This was the end of an upgrade cycle for me after three other AV amps/processors, it's performance is quite simply stunning.

My dilemma is that I've agreed a deal with a forum member on an MC1 but due to a change in personal circumstances would now need to sell the DC1 in order to get the MC1 whereas previously I could have just bought the MC1 outright and sold the DC1 at my leasure after confirming the MC1 was right for me.

So, my question is, if I were to advertise it for sale what would be a realistic selling price?

I would say £1000. MC-1 is available for £1500 from CSE, so obviously you'll have to go lower than that.

    I think trade-in to MC-8 will give you about £1000 for a DC-1.

    DC1 < DC2 < MC1 I would have thought.

I advertised mine on Loot and got £900 and a nightmare with a lame brain buyer who could hardly speak English. He was the only caller I had so it was better than having it put in the cupboard to gather dust
