There seems to be threads to show peoples plasma's, projector's, rooms etc. so, whilst doing a bit of work behind my av stand I took a couple of photos and thought it would be good to show the stuff behind the scenes :smashin:

I actually had this lot looking tidy at the start of the year but after going in there a couple of times and then spending the last hour adding a couple of JS Tech boxes it now looks like this...which is not good

So come on, lets see the best and worst of behind the racks :D

So not fussed about keeping the power cables aware from the signal cable then? :rotfl:
I was thinking of posting a couple of pic's but no way can I compete with that!

Well it is not 'quite' as bad as those pics make out as that power block mounts on the wall when the IKEA unit is shoved back up to the wall so some of the power cables are taken out of the mess on the floor....but even when it was tidier I struggled to get the power cables completely out fo the way of the audio and video cables :(

Come on Knightshade...lets see how it should be done :smashin:

That's quite a load of cables you've got there Macready! Despite the obvious effort you've gone to in order to reduce the clutter by installing suitable blanking plates. Don't be too afraid to get a knife/soldering iron out and cut them to length if you want. There's loads of DIY threads with the suitable information in.

My cable mess is fairly tidy at the moment as my equipment is spread around the house but for my next set of accomodation I hope to trim most of my cable to length.:)

Seen as my signal paths are all digital (ilink between dvd player and amp & HDMI I have a distinct lack of cables ... :(

Funniest coment I heard about a load of cables like that was "gosh, it's like a snakes wedding"

Yea but to hide it amoung the jungle when it has such a fine piece of engineered front panel seems wasted. Hows about we swap front panels? :)

If you can put up with the intense blue neon glow (ridiculously bright) staring at you I'd happily swap. If it's just a nice front panel you want I'm sure I could make one. :)

My Isol-8 mini sub panel also has a bright blue light smack bang in the middle. Only bothers me when it reflects in the TV screen :( So........ :)
