Hi, I'm brand-new to the dizzy and delightful world of DVD. Can anyone recommend an online store that stocks the less common stuff? :lease:

I'm particularly looking for this "modern" adaptation of Les Miserables , starring Jean-Paul Belmondo in the lead role. Has it ever been released on DVD?

According to IMDB, it's only available on VHS, but they are not the ultimate authority, so it could be available elsewhere.

Thanks for taking a look, GregHook. :) I'd find it surprising if it hasn't been released on DVD internationally, since it got such good reviews and it really is one of the all-time classics, imo. OK, I must admit that I did find it on DVD at theFrench Amazon.com, but I dunno if that release would have subtitles in English. I don't understand French and I'm not sure how to translate that particular page.

According to this site HERE , the DVD contains no subtitles, and looking at the details on amazon.fr it seems to agree.

Thanks for your trouble, dis 1. :) That's what I thought, but I appreciate the confirmation! It's a pity though, because I'd really like to own that video...

Looks like I should bookmark DVDZone2 for future reference.

Edit: I did notice that it's out of stock both there and at amazon.fr though, but if it had had subtitles I would've continued looking...
