    Hi, :hiya:

My first Mac post on my newly received premiere MacBook that arrived today (bought from the AV Forums Classifieds from the very agreeable mr SNA) so a little bit of a novice.

Question is, I upgraded it today to Leopard (just had too :) ) and now I want it to play nice with my home Vista 64 setup.

As the drive on the Mac is only 60gb I wanted to share the MP3's from Vista onto the Mac's iTunes setup, is this possible??
I did read a little about turning on Sharing but have yet to see either device see each other...

I'm sure this is probably quite a common config, anyone care to help a newbie Mac owner out??

The Vista 64 PC is cabled to my Netgear DG834GT, the Mac is connecting wirelessly over a WPA connection.

    Thanks for any help,

    K.,

Hi, I'll try and answer but I know nothing about vista.
Open itunes preferences click on sharing (in both itunes vista and mac) set to your requirements.
You might have to tweak your firewall on vista but I'm not sure

itunes doesn't support Vista 64, so that may cause you some problems.

thanks for the feedback so far guys.

Wasn't aware of the sharing in iTunes, that's good to know....
So in practise I setup iTunes on the Vista setup with all the music in etc, then share that across the network...?? sound nothing too hard to acheive.

iTunes 7.6 launched on the 15th now fully supports Vista 64 Barongreenback.

Anyone else have any other tips or is the iTune sharing the way forward..?

Is it straight forward for both the Mac & the PC to see each other??

On the PC just enable "Share my library on my local network

On the Mac just enable "Look for shared libraries

Of course itunes has to be running on the PC for the Mac to see it.
