Can anyone tell me if the disk has the usual images all over it or if it looks like a blank disk with some writing in the inner layer. Assuming that made sense of course :)

Missed the point a bit SG. I have just bought a used one and was checking that it was a legit DVD, hence the image question.

OK - well you should've said ;) :p

My R4 is a picture disk. Now I notice that the R1 SE has both 4:3 and 16:9 versions, so if it's a double-sided disk then naturally it will only have the writing on the inner ring. If it's single sided (with 4:3 and 16:9 versions on the same side) then I would be surprised if it was legit and had just writing on the inner ring. :)

Did you try both sides?

Just lick the DVD, if you end up with a coloured tongue it's a pirate!

Haven't tried it, but I'll give it a go tonight. Cheers SG.
