Legal music downloads in the UK

But...

Does anybody know if there are any sites with legal (obviously you pay) mp3 downloads. I know there are a few services in America but they are U.S only bacause of copyright reasons.

Most of the UK services are overpriced and DRM-laden.

www.allofmp3.com has been mentioned here before, and is incredibly cheap and sells music in any format you want. But the site is in Russia, and despite the fact that they pay royalties to the recording labels, the jury's is still out on just how legal this is.
