I've recently heard a SVS 20-39 PC+ and a B&W ASW-675 side-by-side, and I have to say the B&W won hands down. The SVS was boomy and distorted IMO. The little B&W was stonking for the money, very nearly as good as the Velodyne SPL range. The SVS seem to be over hyped somewhat, and they don't comply with EU standards which can invalidate house insurance and the like.

I know it digresses a bit,but I haven't seen any such clauses in my home insurance, and I'm SURE my Krells dont conform to any existing EU standards.

What's up Ian, doesn't my point of view quite fit in with your little blinkered view of SVS subwoofers? Everybody hates you with a passion, when will you realise this and go away?

P.s. You can ban me all you like, it's not difficult to create a new user ID. Go and get a proper job, you'll feel better for it mate.

It is when your IP address is logged.

All he has to do is look at the new users registering, match the IP and you will be busted!

I think you should be thankful of the timeout Ian and the other mods take to moderate the forums.

Afterall they don't get paid for it.

You comming in and saying get a proper job don't mean sh*t.

I take it you only have dial-up then?

Fixed IP's are on broadband generally.

You should sort out a decent net connection.

Know more than most on the subject.

More the software side of things than hardware, software engineering is my studied field. Mainly C^, C++, ASM and VB.

Hardware doesn't really interest me its the software creation thats far more rewarding and lucrative.

Wow, maybe you could explain why I can't have a decent connection and generate dynamic IP addresses? Or you could just leave it there and let Ian stick up for himself... He likes a good ruck you know, it gives him something to do when he isn't running the world! ;)

If your ISP has assigned you a fixed IP address on its network then you cannot change it.

    However...

If your ISP dynamically assigns you an IP address when you log on then you can of course rest assured that you will be that much hard to track down.

What I was getting at was the fact that most broadband services are fixed IP's and dial-up is predominantly dynamic assignment.

Of course you would have to have be different.

Ah yes, I remember you. You’re the one (SpiderManPants) who called me a Nazi when I told you that you could not sell illegal pirated games on these forums.

    That says it all.

Trying to sell illegal games... :rotfl: :rotfl:

You should have handed his details to FACT. If you're going to do that sort of thing use your head - keep it quiet and don't try to profit from it! You've already got something for nothing.
