Heard 20 million have registered for the ballot.

    The most popular concert ever.

I wouldn't want to be buying a ticket off a tout for that gig.

You would think the band would do a big world tour now that they have seen the interest still out there for them to play live.

And the really bad news...if you can register,it's now down to odds of 1:10 million(at max of 2 tickets per household)

    Almost lottery numbers unfortunately...as above...how about a world tour....please.

You can buy a VIP package from these scumbags http://www.xclusiveticket.com/shop/list_event.asp?event_id=41288&eventType_ID=1087 (sorry... ticket agents) for a mere £475 each.

Gotta be the tout's Xmas and birthday rolled into one.

Anyways.... here's hoping. (It's a bit like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... who is going to get the 'golden tickets').

how do they sell tickets that are still in a ballot ?
so they take a £125 ticket and sell it for £475?

normally I would say "so what, that's business for you"
but I doubt the charity is benefiting from the extra £350 cost ?
or is this official and the charity will get a cut ?

They're just pre-selling some at that price hoping they get some allocated - if they don't they will just return the money (no doubt minus handling fees, cerdit card fees, getting up to answer the phone fees, etc).

Can you image what these will go for on ebay though - if someone will drop a grand on ebay to see madonna when she's doing a string of high-capacity venues. I can see people paying 5-figures for these - wonder what the 'non-transferable' security will be like. DNA test maybe ;-)

Don't get me started on touts this early in the morning... parasitical, blood sucking, low-life, greed merchants exploiting genuine fans for a quick buck.

Torch the lot of them in the blink of an eye I would.

If I'm successful in the ballot there is absolutely no way I'd sell them. I've been lucky enough to see Plant and Page twice before and they put on one hell of a show.

I wouldn,t bother Rob i reckon its gonna be a bit of a disappointment! Its not like its just them gonna be on, Bill Wyman and Pete Townsend :boring: to name but two, and there are going to be more acts to follow. i reckon they will do a tour anyway. I can,t see them doin a massive set like you know they used to do you.

Great. How are budding ticket touts like me supposed to get our new venture off the ground with this sort of irresponsible behaviour?

Just heard on the radio this evening that it's more than likely that a full stadium tour will happen next year. I think the guys name was Stuart Clark from NME who said that promoters are already working on it.

He was more specific about planned concerts in Ireland.

The first rumour is that the band want to play The Ulster Hall in Belfast in November.:eek: It was in this venue that they first played Stairway to Heaven live. This place only holds a couple of thousand!!!

The second rumour is that the band will play Slane next year. For anyone who doesn't know this is the biggest venue in Ireland for this type of concert and holds 80000.

    Nor me...

One of the yahoo Zep forums has people who have got tickets - about 8:15 last night. He said the Ticketmaster site was down so he was bricking it he would miss out, but it's all sorted for him.

So if you didn't hear by midnight then you ain't going!

Just think - you can spend the £250 you saved on the re-released version of TSRTS and relive the glory 1973 style!

Plant has confirmed there will be no tour after this and reading between the lines he's even considering retiring/scaling back his live commitments after the o2 gig.

    Ar$e!
