I remember about a year ago there was a similar deal to this by the same company (viking direct).
This chair seems even better, its pretty stylish and has a chrome base rather than cheapy plastic.
I've had mine for about 2 weeks now. Its easy to assemble, dead comfy and looks the business!
    Link here.

    £35.24 includes delivery!!

Don't know how long the price will last but its been at that for about a month now.

Does the business version exclude vat or is it just cheaper?

    Not sure.
I bought it as a consumer sale and got the £35 price. So I suppose you should expect vat free as a business. Jees, that would make it about £29! How can they even make it for that?

    Yep, both of those.
And you can adjust the tilt force using a dial underneath.

for the price( I have the plastic base one) 9 out of ten. to get a Ten it would it have to hover in mid air.

Remember its £35 not a £1000 lazy boy and you will be happy with it

I've got one of them. Viking sent it FOC to replace my previous special offer leather chair which tore at the seam after two months. This one is a different design and looks a bit better stitched. You can see it's not a £500 chair, but for £35 inc VAT it's very good value.

EH! Well how come I've heard nothing and ordered before that! Did you get a shipping confirmation then? Did it say it was on backorder when you ordered it? Mine is still showing as backordered on the order history page...

    Cheers

I hadn't checked actually. You may be right.

    What does backordered mean?

Right, my chair arrived today, however its a substitue model called the "Manager". I spoke to Viking Direct and they said I should have received a "Director" chair, but that both of these are superior models to the original I bought. I would not rate this one too highly, so I need a reassessment of whether to send this back and wait till february for the other one or keep this.

I have put it together and there are several questiosn I have:

    1. Should the chair attach to the castors, as at the minute they keep falling out of their holes, which is pissing me off?

    2. Should the air lift bit attach to the chrome base as when I lift it up it all falls apart?

I seem to remember this happening on some of the chairs at work but I am not sure if this is normal.

Fast response would be cool, particularly if others have received their chairs today, as the driver told me he had delivered loads of them.

The 'Boss' chair that I received had the castors attached to the base (came as one assembly and as far as I know they can't pop out), but the chair just drops onto the base without fixings.
For me this hasn't been a problem as you have to lift it quite high for it to jump out and its handy to disassemble for taking up and down stairs.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The air lift isnt a problem, but the castors are a right pain. I wonder if there is another way of attaching them.

Does anyone with a chrome based chair have anything to attach the castors with?

Oh and I noticed that the Boss chair has been removed from the site so I cant do a comparison - does anyone have a picture of it?
