6 years back my parents had solar panels installed and the company doing the install were looking for leased roof space. I could not afford panel install so agreed to lease the roof space.

Well the company that sold to my parents has gone bust. Which left me in a spot as to my panels as owned by the bust company.

A couple of months back I get a call from the installer asking for a reading. I question who it was - new mobile etc. and asked for an email etc to prove it was them. I find out he created a company and moved all the leased roof spaces over to that and then sold the existing company which went bust.

Now my signed lease agreement is with the old company. I have not paperwork to indicate any changes.

Any one know where I stand legally?

I did not think any lease could be changed without the landlord's approval.
Could go direct to British Gas with my lease agreement and request to claim the allowances as the lease/contract is with a company that no longer trades.
