I have recently purchased a Pioneer VSX-832 but when I tried to plug in my old Sony CD player with my original red and white audio leads for my Sony CD CDP-xe22o there isn't any ports in the back of the av receiver for them only a coaxial port. What adapter do I need?

You can use one of the two audio in ports with the original leads, page 6 of the manual ports labelled 9. These are marked cbl/sat and dvd/bd but can be used for the cd.

Or buy yourself a toslink optical cable and use the dac in the receiver (square port on the back of the player), no 1 in the manual.

This is the type of cable - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product...a7a-5b3c-a52c-f6a080db06a6&pf_rd_i=1098229031

Thanks for the feedback but the first option doesn't work. I tried it but nothing.

The second option does work with the toslink optical cable but the AV controller doesn't match the input. I would prefer them to match
