Just looking at this, new UK model. Currently on sale at ebay and wholesalers.

Found the manual at samsung.com - download centre, global download centre.

    Different from LE32R51B.

Panel is same size, probably same.

Max power consumption of R is 184W, of T is only 170W.

Sound is 7.5W*2 on T model, 10W*2 on R model.

    T model weighs 15kg, R model weighs 17.7kg

All the display modes have the same spec, suggesting it's exactly the same panel.

No TruSurround XT, so I guess they removed the circuitry to cut costs.

Styling is different on T, with speakers moved to the side, and all-black.

Doesn't have the brightness sensor to adjust lighting levels, but still had digital NR and dynamic contrast.

All the same inputs, except no service input (does this affect anything??)

Menus have been fine tuned - 'Wide' is now called '16:9'

No DNiE demo - assume it still has DNie though.

    Have added power saving features.

    No Child Lock.

So costs cut to the bone to make it more competitive. About £35 cheaper from wholesaler. RRP is £70 less. Is it worth getting this one?

Worse speakers, no SRS, no brightness sensor, inferior styling - I'd say not.
