LE32R88 (AU-R81) problem with PS3 upscaling, white dot

I'm having issues with my Samsung LE32R81BD (same as the R88 in EU, I think) and my PS3. With the PS3 set to upscale DVDs and PS2 games (normal setting) and the TV set to Just Scan (720p), I get a white dot in the top left-hand corner of the screen. This ONLY happens when the PS3 is connected to the R81 and upscaling either a DVD or a PS2 game. Even going into the options on the PS3 and setting it to upscale will show the white dot briefly as it checks compatibility. At no other time does the white dot appear, nor does it appear when I connected up the PS3 to my Dell PC monitor (2407 LCD).

I've played around with settings, changed HDMI ports, changed HDMI cables... I have no idea why this is happening. It may seem pretty trivial, but it can be VERY distracting when you're trying to watch a movie.

Has anyone else with an R81/86/87/88 and a PS3 experienced this?

But if it was a dead pixel it would be there when watching TV, blu-ray, PS3 games etc.., wouldn't it? Oh, and it's only there in Just Scan (all the other picture size settings crop the image).

Anyone? Can someone with a R81/86/87/88 and a PS3 confirm that this doesn't happen for them?
Sorry for spamming! Help is much appreciated.
