I bought a Samsung LE32A456 last year and the sound has never been brilliant - with certain sounds and pitches of voice, the casing seems to vibrate/resonate. Turning the volume down or having less bass makes it better (not surprising) and if I use the audio outputs into a hi-fi the sound is spot on (with the telly muted to avoid the sound lag!)

Has anyone else had a similar problem? It's starting to bug me now....!

Rang Samsung as it's still under warranty and they are going to suggest some setting changes but I think the problem is physical rather than the settings. If it's easy to fix myself I'd rather not have to take a day off work for an engineer to come.

I very much doubt you'll improve things.
I've seen a few comments that basically the sound is just poor on some of the Samsungs.
I'd just keep running it with the amp.
