LCDs with freeview

When you buy a LCD TV with freeview is it only freeview or do you still get analogue signals even if it's a digital ready TV.
Also do you need to activate the freeview part because I don't want a TV with freeview but almost all new sets have it!

Pretty much all sets will come with combined analogue/digital receiver so you'll be able to receive both signals. Why wouldn't you want a set with digital/freeview on it... it'd be obsolete very very soon as the analogue signal is being switched off? Even if you do find a set with only analogue I would strongly caution against buying it as it'll be useless within 2 years, depending on your region... and won't cost any less.
