I want to connect my new Technomate STB to either a LCD with PC input or a Monitor with Scart input.
What would give me the best quality when using either item for STB and PC?

You won't find many monitors with SCART input - so go for an LCD TV with SCART input sockets; these are, of course, pretty common.
Set the Technomate output to RGB in its menu and use an RGB compatible SCART on the TV.

There are a few around and Currys have a 17" Samsung for £180 and a LG 20" for £344.
As I asked, what would give the best quality, TV or Monitor?
    Thanks for your reply anyway.
