I wish to purchase a 32 inch LCD television with integral Freeview. The Philips 9986 has been highly praised on this Forum but is not equipped with a integrated Freeview tuner. I would appreciate advice on the best LCD with digital which is currently available and/or on sets scheduled for release in the reasonably near future which may warrant consideration.

    Thank you.

If you've got an spare hour, i'd recommend reading the Samsung 32" thread:

The LE32R41B is not out yet but it's available with or without freeview tuner, the freeview model will be a different model number though

The Toshiba 32WLT58 is due out in August. Among its many features is integrated Freeview.

if with freeview you mean DVB, sharp GD series have it. The only problem is that it's not interactive.

Oh yeah, and the Loewe A32 can be bought with built in Freeview. Plus, I think one of the new JVCs also has it built in.

My local Currys (not a large branch) had the new Philips 32PF5520D on display; the picture looked very good despite the fact that it has no Pixel Plus and was showing the instore demo, but none of the presets were tuned to channels (and there was no remote control with the display model) so it was impossible to assess the quality of digital TV pictures. The set itself looked very smart!

Thanks to all for the replies.

I do wish that Philips produced a Pixel Plus set with integrated Freeview. I did email them about their intentions and, not unsurprisingly, they did not indicate whether a Pixel Plus version was likely in the foreseeable future.
