Not much scope. I dont have a projector but I do have a RPTV which has a CRT PJ in it. PQ is good, no pixalation, no rainbows, good contrast, nice colour.

If I was to buy a projector now id get the Sony VW12HT so I voted for LCD.

My last PJ was a DLP.
I don't suffer from rainbowitis.

VW12HT will be winging it's way to me in Jan.

In summary, I used to prefer DLP but found the LCD image to be absoloutely gorgeous:D

LCD has my vote!

In what ways is DLP better than LCD and in what ways is LCD better than DLP?

There's a good summary in Febs HCC.
At the end of the day its down to YOUR OWN choice.

ALL projectors are compromised to some degree. In chosing one you'll have to narrow down what is acceptable to you and this may include motion artifacts, throw distance, noise, screendoor, rainbows, price etc.

Once you've actually got one and tweaked it to your perfection you'll be wondering why you made such a fuss!

:D

At the end of the day you wouldn't ask someone you've never met to choose a pair of specs for you would you?

By all means use the forums for guidance but don't base parting ££££ on OPINIONS (esp over the pond) over YOUR OWN EYES.;)

CKA.
