I just want to confirm that it will be fine to run a pc with resolution say, 1280x768 on a LCD TV with native resolution say 640X480.
It just seems wierd and stupid that most 20" LCD tvs have either 640X480 or 800X600 resolutions!!

If the TV supports that resolution. The max should be stated on its specs.

If its native is 640x480 then I would hold out hope for achieving 1024x768, remember LCD TVs are just that.... TVs.

So the tv would just reject the signal? Or would it just come out a bit blurry or something?

Yes, it would reject the signal. But check your specifications, it will state them maximum input res it supports.

Ahh man thats bad news, Im trying to find a 19 or 20" lvd tv but theyre all coming up with 800X600 resolution which will be crampt for PC use.
Do you think its worth having HDTV when Im going to connect it to my PC and xbox?

If its going to be for general desktop usage then I wouldnt use a LCD TV... get a dedicated LCD monitor.

If its a HTPC and a XBOX then I dont see a problem with those resolutions.

Its not going to be an HTPC since I prefer a normal PC. I dont really have the budget or space to go for two monitors!
Do you know any models or makes that would make a nice tv with good resolution for 19/20"??

My old 30" managed 1024x768...... but I have no experiance with 20" LCD TVs which are capable of desktop computing resolutions.

You might be better directing your efforts looking for a LCD monitor with built in TV tuner and not visa-versa ;)
