Just got a few questions. Looking for a small TV for the living room to accompany out 32" CRT TV. This additional TV will mainly be used for console gaming and a bit of TV watching. (Coz the TV is alway being hogged, so we need another).

Obviously a LCD TV would be better than a portable. Have a few questions though:

    1) Do normal LCD TV's have Scart connectors?
    2) Are they okay for Gaming, DVD and Sky?
    3) Any issues with Screen Burn?

Finally, what TV would you guys recommend. Would preferably like a widescreen one...but the budget is approx. £400 so widescreen may not be an option (not even sure if LCD is likely at this price???). Size doesn't matter too much, expecting 14" or equivilant. What would you recommend?

    Thanks for any help...

    1) Do normal LCD TV's have Scart connectors? YES usually
    2) Are they okay for Gaming, DVD and Sky? Yes to DVD and Sky. Some have a slow update speed which can make some games blurry. Not true of them all though.
    3) Any issues with Screen Burn?NO, none whatsoever.

Finally, what TV would you guys recommend. Would preferably like a widescreen one...but the budget is approx. £400 so widescreen may not be an option (not even sure if LCD is likely at this price???). Size doesn't matter too much, expecting 14" or equivilant. What would you recommend? You can get a 17 inch widescreen Grundig - very, very good set for GBP500 from Dixon$. But don't buy the warranty!

Thanks for the info. Will take a look at that Grundig set (will avoid warranty too, I am onto those Dixon Group types... :D ).

Should this TV be okay for gaming do you know?

    Cheers...

Sharp are the best in the market IMHO and prices are very good at the moment the new S1 screens are very sexy and perfect for bed rooms, LCD's need a very good aerial connection though as they have less amplification (virtually) none.
