    Hi,

Having completed the Pioneer 433 / Sky connections using the JS box, I am now looking at the following: I want to use one of my 17" LCD screens as a "tv" in the bedroom. The Sky box has the second coax cable out which can be connected to a second tv.

What will I run into when trying to connect this :

    1) The cable length will be about 30 meter from the sky box to the bedroom. Do I need signal amplifiers?

    2) The LCD screen has a VGA connection only. Is there a unit like the JS box, or in addition to, which will take as input the Coax cable connection, and output the VGA signal?

    Help much appreciated,

    Regards,

    PVR

The box your after is the ProV, which you can get from www.avsales.com, I know this as I have just set this up in my own bedroom!

I don't think it would hurt to use a signal amplifier, in fact I'm sure I have an old one stuck behind my av gear that was attached to my cabling when I moved in!!

PQ is okay, but given that its a composite signal its never going to be brilliant, but then it wasn't that great on my 14" Portable before.

    cheers

    Gant.

Ok, thanks for that. Will have a look at it but AVSALES is out of the air at the moment.

Is one amplifier enough or is it every x meters or so.

FWIW...I run 50m+ from the Skybox in the lounge, back outside and up to my bedroom and into a 14" TV. PQ is absolutely fine.

The ProV has sound out, not great but comes through the speakers on my LCD display. I have also hooked up my PC to watch DVD's, but the sound goes through my Cambridge soundworks surround system (I stuck the speakers up on the wall also ;o))

So I can also use my PC without another monitor I also got a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse...quite cool!

    cheers

Sorry Gant, not sure if I follow you there.

The Coax out of the sky box just carries the picture, right? If that is correct (?), how do you get the sound to the second set?

    REgards,
