LCD screen near heat source?

    Thinking of buying a new lcd tv to free up space.

    But the only decent wall available would be having it above the fireplace, would the heat be a major concern? And would there be any way around it?

    A few of the guys on the Plasma forum have put their panels above the fireplace. Why not get one of those thermometers on a card and stick it over the fireplace on an evening while the fire is on.

    Yeah i've also been wondering about this as i'm thinking about doing it, anyone else done it or know of anyone having problems doing it?
