LCD over fireplace???

My first post after using this forum for a while, so hello all.

I have a Philips 37PF9986 and having just moved house want to put the beast on the wall over a fireplace (not big just standard size). This will be used with coal / wood in the winter, I was wondering if the LCD would not like the rising heat. What do you think??

I would not risk it.

Plus my mum and dad's chimney breast used to become slightly black if they used the fire a lot in the winter, and I would hate for that to get on the screen!

Oh well, back to the drawing board then I guess. I thought that would be the case.

Better move again to get a larger wall to put it on........
