SD and Footy?

Plasma, simple.

Top of the range LCD can possibly compete.

I suspect you already know that though.

Hi

I would recommend an LCD Tv afterall they are known to last longer than a plasma i know people who have bought plasmas and they have been lucky to get six months out of one before having to call the manufacturer

Not true.
Plasmas have a half life of 60,000 hours.
I've had my plasma for nearly two years, without a hitch.
I bet you think all plasmas get screenburn too :)

Oh, and what about the amount of people who complain about dead pixels on their brand new LCD?.
Or doesn't that count?

Just to keep things balanced :smashin:

I can recommend the Sony Bravia 40W2000, also recommended by which.com. Just watched the Malaysian GP and no ghosting or anything, works great with my PS3 and VirginMedia HD.
