    Hi Richmondo,

It may help if you give some information as to how you are going to use it, i.e. what sources you are going to feed it with.
My personal preference is plasma but each person probably has their own opinion. I'd strongly recommend going to an av shop and demoing some LCD's / Plasmas within your budget, then you can make up your own mind.

Welcome Richmondo! Have a go with the search function - this is a very widely discussed topic and will depend upon your usage.

plasma by miles............. but the LCD guys may have debate. LCD are good for small screens, thats my opinion. plasma is much sharper and can handle motion alot better than LCD. go and demo both and see what you find!

    The choice is really yours.

Whichever one you think it looks better, then buy it.

It's going in your room not mine.

However if I was in the shop with you I will have put you off LCD within a minute.

1 Look at the tv from the side at about 30 dgrees.
2 Look at the tv with contrast down to a level where you don't need sunglasses.
3 Look at the tv with BBC freeview and ITV freeview.
4 Then look at a plasma doing the same

    Nuff Said.

To be honest if it was me it would be Plasme, and probably a 42" Panny (PX60) or a Pio. Both will be great with the 360 and Sky!
