I don't think that the Q96 is "crap". I haven't seen it yet but everyone who has seems to thing otherwise.:nono:

As for the rest truth is that they are mediocre to say the least. Maybe you should consider Panasonic 42PX70 or Samsung 40R87BDX or Sony 40S2530.

I'm sick and tired of new threads discussing the same old things, and typing out the same replies over and over.... use 'search', please.:boring:

Actually, when you post a question, we're obliged to answer your plight for help and assistance.
    Basically, that's what's been done.
You will find plenty of threads where LCD and Plasma differences have been discussed, and given the general lack of replies vindicating any of the one you listed in your opening post, then that signifies there's not much opinion on them.
Spend a bit of time reading the popular threads here - you'll find a wealth of info and once clued up more than before you read them, you'll be in a better position to look at various brands critically, which should help you decide ultimately what TV you opt for - LCD or Plasma.

I know mate, but this is the most asked question in here and there are currently threads already running on the first page of this section that answer your questions.
Worth taking 2 minutes out and reading the first couple of pages of thread titles as you will find your answers.
