I am looking to get a LCD computer monitor that I can use directly with a freeview box without having to have a computer involved. I've read a number of the threads on this and think that all I need is to get a monitor that has S video an input. (And add speakers if the monitor doesn't have them.)

Have I got this right and is it really this simple? Are there other considerations that I should be taking into account?

What monitors would people recommend? Are there any simple converters that would expand my monitor choice

I am thinking of about 19" in size and will watch mainly news channels.
