Doh, I bought a 19" Lcd monitor from now defunct Time, wall mounted it & set my pc with ATI graphics cards screen resolution to 1162 x 864 & refresh rate to 60hrz. I think these settings were from Times spec on the monitor, off their website as I got no instructions. It's fine for pc work, but for pictures / TV it's dark yet have too much contrast. I fiddle with the settings, but end up with it being worse & reset to the defaults. I just seem unable to get the picture I want, but nothing's faulty, it's my incompetence. Of course their sites gone, theres no name or details on the monitor, so I don't know where to look for any more info. Are there any definitive set up rules, or should I just keep altering the settings & hope it comes good?
