I recently purchased a Samsung UN50EH5300 (Version CH01) and would like to find out more about the panel in it. The service menu shows 50P6AF0D. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In particular I'd really like to know what the response time is and how this panel compares to S-PVA.

Greetings. Are we 100% sure that 46PFL5507 TV has Samsung panel? Shame, 40" model got a good rating from a review and my eyes on it. :(

Hi Hristo

request tear-down some off panels such as;

Tosh WL/YL8xx series
Sony HX75x/85x series

as it seems that 2012 models has different type matrixes!!
as before those panels use S_PVA

note;according to your post#931 teardown pictures, have seen Sony Corp./Made in China

bye++

...and even worse it seems that there is difference in Sony HX855 between 40" and 46"...

One thing that is alarming me is that 40" is class B for electricity consumption, while the 46" is class A...
Could it be a signal of panel difference too?

Thanks in advance for your clarification, as always! :smashin:

the electricity usage is definitely panel related, other hardware i.e. motherboard and graphic board energy consumption is insignificant in comparison...

I read the whole Thread and the info you guys provide here is awesome.:smashin:

I came to conclusion my next 40" TV should have the new type PSA S-PVA Panel. I read the Samsung 46ES7000 is using this panel type. Can anybody confirm Samsung is using this panel in 40ES7000 as well?

what is a PSA S-pva panel? is it a new type?

ether way ive got a tv with an s-pva panel and i can whole heartedly recomend both ips alpha or spva in anyones TV depending on your viewing style.

PSA (Polymer sustained alignment ), like UV2A is a method of in cell liquid crystals pre-alignment. This method achieves proper liquid crystal pre-tilt angles without rubbing, protrusions, or patterned common electrodes.
It can be applied in all types of VA matrices - MVA, PVA etc.
More info:
LCD manufacturing technologies target increasing transmission to reduce panel costs - ElectroIQ

Ah I see, I actually found some papers on it in the end. So it's safe to assume that most va panels will be using in ether now or in the future as the goal is to reduce costs.

What is siting in Sony Bravia EX650 2012 models ?

I would like to ask hristoslav2 what kind and maker are the LCD-Matrices on:
UE32ES6300S, S/N: B4M93HLC500063, Vesion No 03 and
UE32ES6100, S/N: B4JQ3HDC300936N, Version No 01
Nobody in the shops and Samsung service in Plovdiv can give an answer.
Any suggestions which one to prefer.

Thanks: stefankostov

Hi,

Just now I saw some others are also familiar with Samsung.
That's why I repeat my questions to all: what kind and maker are the LCD-Matrices of the TVs below:
UE32ES6300S, S/N: B4M93HLC500063, Vesion No 03 and
UE32ES6100, S/N: B4JQ3HDC300936N, Version No 01
Do you have suggestions which one to prefer.

I wonder if its worth posting a 2012 and 2011 LCD matrix by manufacturer up again as I bet nearly half of the posts on this topic are people asking the same question over and over again.

It would be nice to see a list for 2012 models. I'm still searching for information on my Samsung as posted earlier, but I can't seem to find much information on it.

Seems that the new Samsung/Sony TVs use "PSA" type VA matrice and produced on their China factory!
so prime-cost cut-down!! so just look at the sale price off Sony HX85x/75x

Therefore seems no any Blacks/Contrast ıssue and are all very good specs as well

I have an October 2011 made UN46D6000SFxzc (version CN02) Canadian version Samsung (assembled in mexico) and was wondering what the Type should be in the service menu for my unit.

Also would this be a Samsung made panel or some other company?

Here are the stickers from the back of the screen inside the tv.

A tech replaced the mainboard in my TV but it is a refurbished part so I think the settings are off in the service menu as the colors were good before but now I can't get them back the way they were... the screen was not changed, just the mainboard.

Hi Zokambaa,
The panel code "LD***CGC-C3" need service manual for proper panel specification. But all clues provided point CMI as most probable panel manufacturer.
;)

LD460CGC-C3 (CMI) This is a OEM - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_equipment_manufacturer

Provided panels for models 46D60xx

For color settings ..
It is possible that switching to the main board failed to change the type videopanel in the service menu. Hence the differences in the basic settings.
In the service menu should be written as 40P1UF0Е

I do not advise you to change it yourself! Consult a service technician.

Do you mean 46P1UF0Е I think there was one in the list for that... this is a 46" screen not the 40" one

or is that number meaning something else?

I think in Europe the model is EU46D6000 or something like that... in Canada and the USA it is UN46D6000

I changed it to 46A1UF7E and it is a bit better but I'm going to have to try calibration now... but my old settings aren't the same on this new mainboard.

LD460CGC-C3 (CMI) This BN07-01019A, is a OEM Original Samsung LCD Display Panel.
