Hi hristoslav2,

Probably a silly question on my part. :blush:

My Sony 46HX823 has gone for repair and is getting a new panel fitted (lcd panel)

When it comes back will the service menu tell me the type of panel that they have fitted?

Yes - in the service menu you can see thе model of videopanel.
If the service have put another / different / from the previous panel - they are obliged to change the model in the service menu. The reason is that for each matrix type has different settings.

What about new versioning of Samumsung models on sticker on the back side of TV. There is a number, for example 01 or i don't know any other. I presume it's Samsung's S-PVA matrix. And how many are those numbers? Do they all mark Samsung panels? Is there any signification like letters in new models and their meaning? And it seems that there's no such version number on the packaging box and no chance to find out matrix by observing package box.

These indications of letters and numbers are BOM.

Hi does anyone know what sort of panel is used in the SONY KDL24EX320? This is a 1080x1920 panel vs. the 768x1366 panels used in the 22" and 26" variants of this TV.

I am hoping for something better than the TN panels I have in my current 22"HD TV's

It has been answered earlier in the thread, can't remember what page.

Its an MVA panel in the 24 from memory.

Hello everybody,
2 questions:

1.- 2011_LG_LW_SERIES' panels AND 2012_LG_LM_SERIES' panels:
--- are there big differences? (which?) or are they mainly similars ?

2.- how many LED's have the flagship full array models (LW980 and LM960) ?
(notice that I ask # "LED's" and not # "dimming zones")

thanks in advance....

Thanks but I dont think so? I did a search before posting and only got some "conjecture" about larger EX3 series panels. Searching again only throws up my OP and your reply in addition.

You may have picked this info up from elsewhere? I hope it is an MVA panel but it would be nice to know from which supplier and the specification.

Anybody know which panels Samsung are putting in the new UE40ESxxx models? They've just come on the market and I can't find any info

I've ordered an UE40ES5700, should be in the post in a couple of days...naturally I'm hoping for a Samsung Panel, if not it's most probably going back.

Good LCD videopanels start from 40 " :)

It's a backup option matrix. First draft is
32EX500 LTY 320HF01 Samsung S-PVA SLCD

Matrices of AUO have better color rendering,
almost the same contrast and a smaller viewing angle S-PVA matrices

Models 2011
26EX320 -> S-IPS LG : LC260EXN-SDA2
24EX320 -> A-MVA AUO :T240HW01 V02
32EX520 -> LTY320HN0102 LCD PANEL Samsung
32EX720 -> LTY320HJ0101 LCD PANEL Samsung
37EX720 -> V370H4-LE1 LCD panel MVA from Chimei Innolux
40EX720 -> LTY400HJ LCD PANEL Samsung
46EX720 -> LTY460HJ05 LCD PANEL Samsung

Ask hristoslav2, he posted that the 24EX320 used an A-MVA AUO :T240HW01 V02 panel. He has been very reliable so far.

Recently i had the opportunity to get know a little better LG 32lv2500.
An LG's entry level led tv. From product code 32LV2500-ZG.BEUYLJP it's some kind of Ips panel, allegedly good characteristics.
But I have to say I'm dissapointed, especially with viewing angle. Practically unwatchable. Also white is not so bright for led and you get a feeling of dim display even 100% of backlight usage. Only good thing is color reproduction.
How can it be such a bad viewing angle for ips panel and dim display although it's led?

Hi! I suppose it is matt finish display? If so, that is the reason for being not as bright as other TV's.

Hi all,
there is a 27" monitor panel from AUO (M270HW02 V.0, A-MVA). The monitor is BenQ EW2730V.

Thank you for the reply.Correct me if I am wrong, I thought S-IPS have the pixels pointing to the left not te right? So it's not an AS-IPS then, as they point to the right?.
Thanks.

Hi!

It doesn't matter on which pointing direction is left or right, because on the picture example, you do not know, whether the picture is facing the other way.

Hi Guys,
I've bought an LG 42LV470S with serial number 203WRGX3D071
Can anyone throw some light on the panel and make?

Generally a good picture but the colors wash away when looking from the side, specially in daylight. Night time in a darker room it's better...

My mates got a Samsung UE40ES5700SXZG Version: 01 S/N: B4CK3HLC300365V, I don't think it has a samsung panel because the colors dont look quite right...

Thanks, there seems to be a flaw in the thread search on here as hristoslv2's post was not thrown up when I searched,
