lcd help

hi.I am looking to buy my first lcd tv and i have been offered a new philips 42pf9730 for £1100.it also comes with motorised stand.I have tried doing some research on this model but cant find it any where. So if anyone knows anything about these it would be very helpful.
Also it comes with only a 7 day warranty is this something worth worrying about.

I know nothing about the telly but no way would I spend £1100 on something with 1 weeks guarantee

yes worries me too especialy as i want to buy 2 of them.any suggestions on best buy 40-42" lcd for around £1100.Thanks chris
