No doubt the answers to my questions are in the forum somewhere, but so far i haven't found them! Theres just too much info out there. So here goes....

Looking at buying a Samsung M61 or a Sony V series LCD. But...
    - do i really need one?! It will mainly be used for cable TV (no HD channels), DVDs (not upscaled yet, but am looking at getting new DVD with upscaling/HDMI this year) maybe some PCing too.
    - how good/bad is standard def TV going to look on a HD ready LCD? Seems hard to get a real comparison between LCD and CRT - especially as most of the shops here in Sweden that stock the M61 or V series don't stock any CRTs! Does anyone have any pics showing a comparison??

Opinions (or links to topics if you know where the answers are!) please!
    Thanks a bunch. :lease:

    Expentant LCD daddy :D ??

Well - I can't answer that for you but personally I like a properly set up LCD over a CRT.

Out of the box - very bad. With some picture tweaking - definitely acceptable.

Comparison pictures are very hard to take - taking a good picture of a CRT TV screen is nearly impossible, I've found. But you can see pictures of digital TV broadcasts from my Sony KLV-26HG2 (old, old model):

In the TV settings. If you have the money for external video processors, those would help! ;)
