    LC32GA4E Settings per input

I took delivery of my Sharp LC32GA4E yesterday from Crampton and Moore. It is one from the last UK shipment, I think.

I can thoroughly recommend Crampton and Moore - they answered all my emails very promptly to keep me informed about the progress of my order.

The settings are critical to get a decent picture. I need quite different settings for my Sky digibox via RGB Scart and for my Denon DVD3910 via DVI. In particular the contrast needs to be set lower from the digibox to avoid bleaching out detail in the bright parts of the image. It also needs to be set less than 100% on the DVI input or the mid tones in the image are too black. These are my current settings, but I'm still fiddling with them:

    Code:
                   Sky RGB DVD 720p Comment

Backlight STD STD This is the 0 setting
      Contrast +16 +30
      Brightness +20 +5
Colour +10 0 Sky RGB a bit washed out without
Tint +6 +6 Not experimented with yet
Sharpness -8 -8 Any higher and artifacts appear
I had thought that you could associate different settings for each input to the screen, but I can't find this feature in the manual or the menus. It is tedious to set them every time I switch between Sky and DVD. Does anyone know if this feature exists?

    jgrg,
The dynamic, standard, movie etc are shared. However there is a user setting for each input;- User1, User2 etc. These are linked to each input so you san set up Sky on User1 and so on. Look closely at the "user name" as you switch inputs.

    Cheers

Thanks jimg, I hadn't discovered the "AV MODE" button.
