LC26GA4E HDTV Confusion

    They are HTDV compatible. Sharp UK don't advertise them as such because they think there is no demand, because we don't have HDTV services here yet, and they don't want to confuse the poor stupid consumer.

    The DVI terminal is HDCP compliant - I had to phone Sharp's Aquos support line and get put through to a technical person to have this confirmed. You may have trouble feeding it 1080i through the DVI, but that is moot since the screen only has 768 lines. It will accept 1080i through the component connection.

    ah right, thanks for that. I just seems silly to me that they would hide it. Especially when you look at that link where they clearly state it agaisnt the US models.
