I'm about to buy a Sharp LC-26GA3E from a guy on ebay for £689, it's an ex-display model less than 12 months old, says its in 'as new condition' is it a good deal?

    It depends on the conditions.

When he tries to get money up-front (even when it is only half of the amount), has you transfer the money by Western Union, or sends a special courier that wants your money but does not want you to open the package beforehand: STAY AWAY FROM IT!

The person im buying it off on ebay is a 'powerseller' and has a 98.7% positive feedback rating so i dont think he's going to rip me off. He's now offering to sell it for £40 less cos I didnt want the glass stand he was selling the TV with.
