I really enjoyed Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance, and was enjoying its sequel until act 3, where the game became far too easy with short, trivial levels and a poor ending.

I had a similar experience with the Hunter Series. Could this be down to familiarity with the Gameplay? Or are sequels generally just an after thought once the original becomes successful?
