just started to watch lawrence of arabia on skyhd movie greats picture looking good hope the bluray is as good or even better
This comes up a lot; movies on Sky are 1080p. With a half-decent deinterlacer your display will recognise that and treat the source accordingly.Well the fact taht the BD will be 1080p should mean it will be better than Sky as is every movie I've seen on BD so far.

There are many movies on Sky that look just as good as the Blu-ray. I was watching Kung Fu Panda on disc the other night and couldn't see any difference whatsoever.
Could be. With a progressive 25fps source, broadcast via 50i, each pair of interlaced fields are identical, so correctly deinterlaced there should be absolutely no difference between 1080i and 1080p.Always notice a difference, maybe its' my TV.
