If your in the market for an MP3 player then its worth keeping you up to date with recent firmware upgrades for the Samsung player which just keeps getting better.
For those who struggle with what a firmware update actually is : You retain the same player, but download (for free) a small file from the Samsung site. Its a simple matter to transfer this file to your players memory and hey presto! you now have a whole host of new features
Its like upgrading your player every month.
So far, every upgrade has given greater battery capacity and the latest update has given some people 44hrs (and jsut in case you ever need to replace the battery, it is user replaceable on the Z5, you dont need to send it back a la iPod).
It already can download from any music site and can work with OGG files (a superior MP3 format) and set it to act as a removeable disc for your pc (like a flash drive so you can do simple drag and drop), now it also has Gapless playback and has a customisable graphic equaliser (the only two areas where it recieved any complaints).
If you go to the Z5 lounge http://z5lounge.com/, you can leave coments for the designers to incorporate in the next firmware upgrade.....how cool is that
You can even buy a solid gold Z5 now http://www.dapreview.net/comment.php?comment.news.3784
