latest sky+ versions please

Having sky + installed in the next hour or so. Can anyone tell me the latest software, EPG and model number I should be receiving?

It'll probably require a forced update.
No idea what the info is for an Amstrad box at this point.

My model number is 2.057 ie there is no A2 after it is this significant? Can I do anything about it?

 

The last update a few days ago applied a patch to fix a picture quality issue when was evident on some version2 SKY+ units.
You may or may not wish to get the update right now or wait a while and get used to what you have got.

If you can't wait then do this.....
At your own risk.


Hold the backup button down on the box while turn the power off at the wall socket.
Wait 10 seconds and then turn the power back on WHILE STILL HOLDING DOWN THE BUTTON and then wait for a message on the screen or all 3 lights on the front of the box to light up, then release the button.
The new software will take around 10 minutes to download and then the box will reset it self and stay in standby, wait another couple of minutes then turn it on with remote or the button on the box and you should be away.

 

thanks again. I just followed instructions and it said it was downloading stuff but still says model number 2.057 . Will try again in a few days.

 

I just got SKY+ installed,upgraded to it from normal SKY.I got a new Amstrad digibox,it is V3 ! Better picture quality than before,much smoother operation from the digibox,less artefacts on screen.

 

how much to upgrade DTS rocks ?? my mate wants it after seeing my sky+ box.

 

I paid £199 for the box,and £50 installation,which is only a £1 if you take/upgrade to a premium package ! I stayed with the package i had,was paying £19.50,now paying £29.50.Worth every bit of it too ! Didn't want movies or sport you see.

 

SKY Sports 2 & SKY Movies 2 with Family pack.... £29 a month and qualifies for the SKY+ fee to be waived.
Pay 50p a month less and get more channels.
Worth considering?
