I have installed Rako (well my Sparks has) and I now have the task of programming the setup with Rasoft.... This was a lot easier with the older software which I had!

All the documentation on the Rako site seems to show "How to use the software" but it is all based on the older version!

Anyone got any tips for the new software?

Talk to Rako would be my best advice. Usually the person supplying/fitting the product would set the lighting scenes etc.

Self Build and on a really tight budget was my problem! I had Rako in my old house and the programming was way easier with the old software.

Oh... I'm not sure then really. Did some Rako training about 18mths ago. Do you have the programming interface? From memory you either program from a usb-rf module or other Ethernet via the bridge. Might be wrong but I don't think it's intended as a day product so you may need a local Rako specialist. Did you speak to Rako?

I've found Rako to be really helpful when I've had problems. Called them today as one of my modules has blown - 3 1/2 years old and they're repairing it at no cost. Good service imho.

FWIW I have just had some Rako kit installed (some more should i say) and have been playing with the latest Rasoft Pro, its a reall hoot!!!

I have a variety of wireless bits (three 7 button wall plates and 11 wireless controllers [mix of RMT500 and RMS800] running via a RTC Bridge) all managing a total of 11 lighting and power zones.

The installers set up the rooms i wanted with basic scenes and then i have amended them.

I have also set up a couple of events to turn on outside lighting on a dawn to dusk setting and have some of them dimming down overnight.

Some of the zones are not yet fitted up, but the plan is to have a water feature controlled form one of the RMT800s switching on and off at appropriate times, then garden lights on dawn to dusk as well.

I am waiting for some RGBW LED strips to be installed so i can get that set up too.

Not sure i can help too much but happy to assist if i can.

I think the key is getting yuor head round the logic used. As is so often the case once you have got that in your head then it all slots into place.

what kit do you have and what are you trying to achieve?

PS i would agree re Rako, have spoken to them a couple of times so far and they have been very helpful.
