It's running really well. The boot speed is insane, from turning on the power to MCE is about 7 seconds. The only issue that I have got is I had to use the stock CPU cooler as the other one I bought wouldn't fit due to the high profile of the RAM.

The build cost was about £1150. I will be adding 3 more 4TB drives in the coming months.

Sounds lightening quick mate shame about the cooler, you notice audible fan noise? You using remote or small form keyboard? You are basically using this as an all in one htpc and server by the sounds of it, that's what I'll be aiming for as I have raspberry pi and a roku3 for my additional rooms.

I used the software that comes with the motherboard to limit the speed of the fan so it can't be heard. I am using the Harmony Ultimate remote.

Yeah it's used both as a HTPC and media server. I have managed to get hold of two Linksys Media Center extenders do this drives those as well as being used for torrenting.

What's it like using a Raspberry Pi?
