    Hi All,
    I’m looking at Purchasing a pro 13 maybe 15.
Things key to me are a really bright screen, so 500nits, doesn’t have to be lighting fast as I’m only using it for web browsing, music and viewing pictures I’ve taken.
I also like the idea of the Touch Bar so I think I have to go for at least a 2016 model to get the the Touch Bar and the 500nits screen.
    Also 256gb SSD.

My question really is there a big difference between a 2016 model and 2017/18 model?

Ive seen some 13” going for 800-900.

Any advice would be great. Thanks

Sounds like it is just the screen for you...May I ask, do you use it mainly outside in sunlight? The reason for asking is that I generally turn my screen down because it 'burns' my eyes. A 'brighter' screen was never one of my complaints.

I think the only compelling change is the availability of quad core CPUs in 2018, but sounds like that's not something you need for what you're doing. There are obviously concerns about the keyboards, but there's an extended warranty process in place for that now.

The new generations are all very fast with incredibly quick SSDs in them, so I think a 2016 would be perfect for you.
