    All,

Having decided I want an 8th gen laptop / MBP, I am selling my current 15.4" MBP to raise funds. It's got Apple Care until January 2020 and is pristine - pics to follow shortly.

It's a late 2016 model with higher spec than the standard 15.4", having the upgraded processor, better graphics, and larger SSD:
    - 2.7ghz processor, up to 3.8ghz turbo boost, with 8mb L3 cache
    - AMD Radeon 455, 2gb video RAM
    - 512gb SSD
    - 16gb RAM
    - Space grey, touchbar 15.4" Retina display

It also has the benefit of AppleCare until January 2020.

I'd prefer collection in person so you can try before you buy and take a proper look.

Happy to consider a trade for a new / just-about-new XPS 13" touch screen (or 2-in-1) with cash my way. As long as it sports an 8th gen processor!

Photos to come, any questions just ask.

    Thanks

    Price and currency: £1,450
Delivery: Delivery cost is included within my country
Payment method: Bank transfer or cash on collection
    Location: London
    Advertised elsewhere?: Advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I prefer the goods to be collected

    Sorry for the slow reply!

    It's a SB2 13"

    8650u
    8GB RAM
    256GB SSD
    GTX1050 in the base

Warranty wise I'm not sure as I bought it from another forum because I thought it would be a good replacement for an older MacBook Pro but I just Macs for my laptop!

Condition wise it's pretty much like new, I can take photos if you're interested although we could also meet in person to verify as I work in London.

    Hi

Thanks for your interest and replies. I had a play with a similar one at Currys earlier and if we can agree the cash back then we can move to trade.

Meeting to view machines before we agree terms is a great idea, thank you, I'd want you to see mine too.

Timingwise, I can probably meet in London tomorrow for us to view each other's machines (I'm in EC2 for meetings). Ideally I would do the trade on 1 August or a couple of days after, assuming we agree terms. I'm finishing off a project at the moment and would prefer to not switch machines midstream! If urgent I could, but...

I expect it's okay, but can a mod please confirm that it is acceptable for us to meet without having reached agreement in the forum, and to then continue in the forum?

Just a note for whoever does buy it, I'll include the checkmend report on my machine before we close.

    Thanks again

Awesome, I can definitely wait it's not a problem at all

I work London Bridge but have to visit a client tomorrow but I could meet on Friday if you are around?

Not really sure what kind of cash you were thinking though - the SB2 used seems to go for around £1300 on eBay so possibly £200 your way? Let me know if I am miles out...

    Hi

I can’t speak of my Friday timings yet, will have to let you know.

I was thinking an amount of cash close to the difference in the CEX trade-in values, which was about £320... does that qualify as miles and miles or could it possibly be a matter of yards? :)

Ok after further thought I'm still interested but how about £1400 paid by bank transfer instead and I'll sell my laptop separately?

We can still meet up next week

All, trade has been completed and JY was a pleasure to deal with.

Was just reflecting on past trades - wanted to reiterate thanks also to the mods for their ongoing service to our community
