    Hi,

I see The Last House of the Left is coming out by Anchor Bay on double disc. Is this film any good, I never caught it years back.

Also the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (uncut) is back with a all new Special Edition, with 72min documentary and more.

    cheers

Ahh. Don't know which one you are on about, but I thought they were both superbly filmed, well, TCM is at least. A matter of taste, to be sure, but they are both quite unique and disturbing horror films.

If your tastes run only to mainstream, Scream/Friday 13th/Final Destination type films, then avoid like the plague, but if you have any interest in exploitation/underground film making, then these are bona fide classics and need to be seen.

    IMO of course. :)

TCM was a far superior film

Well, agreed TCM is much better.

I thought 'Last House...' had a good raw style, though. I'm not sure that Wes Craven was much more than 16! :)

This would be the UK version. It's cut.
It's also awful. A very uncomfortable mix of rape/murder/revenge....and slapstick comedy, if you can believe that.
