I soptted this on another forum where the new technology was being showcased at the IFA in Berlin. Is this the future? Check out the pics at <a href="http://www.chariot.net.au/~spizz/oliver/Schneider%20Laser%20TV%20Kanon.JPG" target="_blank">Canon Projector</a> and <a href="http://www.chariot.net.au/~spizz/oliver/Schneider%20Laser%20chematics.JPG" target="_blank">Laser Display Technology</a>

It's probably all old hat to all you lucky front projection types but I hadn't heard of it before.

Jim,<br />It's a very funky idea, but slightly OTT for home cinema at the moment.

The big colour lasers used in nightclubs require water cooling at something like 50 gallons a minute! They also cost from £20,000 to £60,000.

Do like the idea of projecting a video image onto the moon though. Now that would really impress the neighbours!

    Regards
