I have an alcove that I'd like to get a new TV for, and fitting in the alcove is the main requirement. The largest TV, with the biggest screen, that we can fit in there will probably be the right TV.

It's taking a while to go through the websites of different vendors and check the dimensions. Most 42" TVs are just a little too big, but I've found one or two that fit in. For example, the LG40UB8000.

But they're kindof expensive, and I'm not sure yet if I can source it in Ireland (no problem to order through the UK).

I'm not sure if I need to use a stand for the TV or if I can find the right type of bracket to wall mount.

Things I do want: maximum size 950mm (35.4”) X 600mm (23.6”), at least 3 HDMI inputs, 3.5mm audio out, VGA & 3.5mm audio in from computer [all essential], low price, "smart" features [nice to have]

Things I don't really care about; 4k, 3D, USB input, digital audio out

Any recommendations, please?
