Any body hoping Sky are going to sell a Sky+ box with larger HD fitted prepare to be dissappointed. I read the following quote from James Soames, Senior New Product Manager at Sky in a magazine Digital Home whilst browsing in W H Smith:

"We have no plans to increase size of hard drive in Sky+. We are a service provider and broadcaster and there is little in it for us to give consumers hundreds of gigabytes of data. Our priority is to increase the critical mass of consumers by bringing down the price"

He was equally enthusiastic about providing the ability to connect to broadband which he suggested might be attractive to content providers but not Sky.

Sky also said they wouldn't drop the £10 for sky+.

At some point they will find it next to impossible to source the 40Gb disks, they will have to change then. It's already difficult to get 5400rpm disks of most sizes.
