Hi, my projector is positioned at the edge of the room with a *horizontal* lens shift of 47% applied. Does this mean a grey screen will not be suitable for me because the light is hitting it off-center?

Thanks.

It will still reflect less light than an equivalent white screen with your set up, so will still be a better choice for preserving intra image contrast, and it has a grey base which helps too. A retro reflective screen would work with those angles (they reflect the light back to the pj/viewer) but they tend to have a visible texture which can spoil the overall image.

An ALR screen will reflect light at the angle it receives it(not towards the source), like a mirror.
If the screen is matte then the light diffusion will be around 160 degrees.
