Was watching TV last night and this black block appeared. Doesnt matter whether its the TV, PC or PS3 (game or video), nothing will shift it.
Set up is a Sony VAIO XL202 via HDMI to Onkyo 875. HDMI out of the Onkyo to the HDMI board on the PH9. PS3 is HDMI to the Onkyo 875 then HDMI out of the Onkyo.
Tried re-booting, altering display, System Restore. Left it overnight then restarted it and its still there in exactly the same position this morning.
Thought it might be the menu of a program running in the background but it actually appears before the Windows start up screen, so don't think it could be that.
One odd thing - when it first appeared I tried various things, and at one point when I tried to change channels, a Media enter box popped up to advise that someone else was watching Spiderman (which was on TV at the time) and asked me to confirm OK to change. That would suggest there were 2 instance of Media Center running but re-booting and/or System Restore should have taken care of that (note: it's not Wi Fi, so couldn't have been caused by someone piggy backing).
Any ideas?
